4 Different Events to Celebrate the Fourth of July in Georgia

1. Atlanta Braves vs. the St. Louis Cardinals – Atlanta, GA 

What is more fitting than celebrating Independence Day at a ball game?

Cheer on the Atlanta Braves, or the Cardinals if you choose to do so, at Truist Park on the Fourth of July. 

The game will kick off at 7:20 P.M. and will have a July 4th firework show for fans to experience. 

The Braves will go on to play more games in Atlanta the following three consecutive days. 

No matter if you are a baseball fan or not, Truist Park goes above and beyond for every event it holds and this will not be an exception. 

Remember that you can also enjoy everything the area surrounding the stadium, The Battery, has to offer and see the fireworks from there if you do not want to purchase tickets!

2. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution Peachtree Road Race – Atlanta, GA

If you are looking for a more active way to spend July 4th, consider running in the AJC Peachtree Road Race!

The race begins at Lenox Square and is 10K long for everyone participating. 

Want to join the fun? Make sure to register on the AJC Peachtree Road Race website before the Fourth of July! 

Those wanting to participate in the virtual 10K race the AJC is also hosting can sign up online as well. The only requirement is that you have to complete the race between July 4 and July 5.

This is a great option for those who enjoy participating in races on holidays! 

3. Savannah’s Waterfront Independence Day – Savannah, GA

Enjoy the beautiful views of the waterfront reflecting colorful fireworks this Independence Day in Savannah! 

With various shopping and dining options along the waterfront, this is the perfect place to spend the holiday.

Since Savannah has a ton to offer during the day leading up to the firework show, there is no way you and your family will be bored!

The firework show begins at 9:15 P.M. and visitors are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets to utilize before and during the show.

4. Star Spangled Beach Party – Pine Mountain, GA

Not only does Callaway Resort & Gardens offer a beach to relax and play on, but it also has a butterfly center, a discovery center and birds of prey shows!

From July 2nd to the 4th, Callaway Gardens has plenty of activities to keep you entertained until the nightly fireworks show.

There are various water activities such as kayaking, paddle boarding, skiing and sliding down inflatable mountains into the water!

On top of this, there are zip lines, rope courses, putt putt golf, beach volleyball and much more! 

At night you can sit by the beach under the stars and watch the spectacular sunset before the fireworks.
