Charlotte Motor Speedway is a motorsports complex and is one of the most prominent and iconic racetracks in the United States. It has a total seating capacity of approximately 140,000, making it one of the largest sports venues in the country. It hosts NASCAR events, drag racing, dirt racing, and more. Spectators can camp on-site, drive on the track, take a tour of the complex, and participate in a variety of other events. After you visit Charlotte Motor Speedway, go to downtown Charlotte to see the NASCAR Hall of Fame!

If you ever have the chance to ride/drive a race car at Charlotte Motor Speedway, do it!!! It was an incredible experience, and the dinner and extra time on the track was such a cool bonus. Definitely want to do this again. -Cindy H.
US National Whitewater Center is an outdoor recreation and adventure center. It is known for its whitewater rafting facilities, where you can take a guided trip on a man-made river with a series of rapids suitable for various skill levels. It also offers kayaking, paddleboarding, canoeing, rock climbing, zip-lining, mountain biking, and hiking. There are also adventure courses for all ages and skill levels. There is no end to the fun that can be had here!

The Whitewater Center is amazing. It’s a great place to spend a day out doing a bunch of activities ranging from rafting, kayaking, biking and quite a few other adventure activities… There are hiking spaces as well, and it’s great to walk here… We will be back here for the adventure activities. It’s a highly recommended place in Charlotte, and I see why. -Akshat K.
Carolina Raptor Center is a nonprofit organization and environmental education center dedicated to the conservation and rehabilitation of birds of prey, or raptors. It takes care of injured, orphaned, and sick birds until they are well enough to be released back into the wild. Visitors can view these birds in their habitats while walking on the Raptor Trail. There are also events such as bird shows, flight demonstrations, photography workshops, and festivals focused on raptor conservation. This is the perfect place to take your animal-obsessed child so they can learn more about birds!
