What’s in your Purse?

Let’s be completely honest here – most of our clothes were not designed with dozens of pockets or deep spots to store the daily necessities that we take with us when we go out. As annoying as that is, maybe that will convince you to start carrying around a small wallet or handbag (thanks, capitalism)! This should motivate you, however, to buy a purse (big or small) that suits your personality and will fit all of your daily essentials. Once you’ve completed the process of finding the perfect purse for you, you can begin filling it with your purse essentials, and hopefully, this list below helps!

MEDICINE BOX

A little alarming that this is the first thing on the list, but I would hate for anyone to be caught in an uncomfortable or painful situation in which they have no access to any medicine or ibuprofen to help them while they’re out and about. A small medicine box is a great investment. They won’t be able to hold more than a small handful of pills, but it’s still a great idea to keep them in your bag and keep one or two of each type of pill you might need (Advil, Tylenol, allergy pills, vitamins, birth control, etc). FEMININE PRODUCTS

This is also just another one of those just-in-case items that you’ll be happy you have with you on the one day you need it! It never hurts to keep a few extra feminine hygiene products in your bag, just in case you or another friend is in dire need. A simple list of what you need is probably just a pad or two, a tampon or two, and anything else you think you may need. Adjust that list according to your needs. 

EXTRA MAKEUP FOR TOUCH-UPS

It also never hurts to keep some extra makeup on you for touch-ups throughout the day, especially if you’re going out, or will be out for a long period of time. You know that sweating off your makeup is inevitable, so why not keep some extra on hand to touch up? You can use the mini products that you often are gifted from Sephora or Ulta for large purchases and birthdays, or you can even buy your own mini makeup sets like this one here. You can put them all in a small pouch and include your go-to makeup products, chapstick, some hair ties or hair clips, oil blotting sheets, and any other regular makeup products you use. 

WALLET, KEYS, CARDS, ETC

This goes without saying, but you can’t leave your house without your keys and wallet! Maybe if you have a slightly larger wallet, you can clean it out, get the cards and cash you only really need, and move it all into something like this, also known as a card wallet. It’s sleeker and will fit in your bag much more easily than a bulky wallet! 

PORTABLE CHARGER

Another great, just-in-case item you should keep in your purse is a portable charger! Don’t let the thought of a big and bulky charger stop you from keeping one with you.
