Charleston, South Carolina

Charleston holds a record-holding bridge, with the Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge being the longest cable-stayed bridge in North America! 

You can walk or bike down this impressive bridge and see it from the water if you book a boat tour. 

With over 30 blocks in the city’s historic area, this is a great place to visit if you are looking to learn more about southern history.

The historic area offers over 300 years of history, holding antebellum mansions, antique homes and old churches. 

Charleston also has numerous photo opportunities, from the famous colored buildings to cobblestone streets. 

According to Tripadvisor, the Middleton Palace is a historical landmark you won’t want to miss. This 110-acre site dates back to 1741 with gardens, stables and a historical house that you can tour. 

Asheville, North Carolina
