I completely understand employees need to do their job and the holiday season can get really busy and overwhelming for them. However, one of the staff members today pressured me into answering questions about my skincare routine that I didn’t really want to address. I have a mental disability and English is not my first language so it was difficult to set a boundary because I was put on the spot about my skincare preferences. I tried answering her question without giving personal details, but she responded with a judgmental attitude. I didn’t even want to discuss my skincare routine, but since she asked me, I tried to be polite and I answered “my routine is very simple—I’m just looking for ___ brand”. She tried to steer me away from this brand but I prefer this one because I live on a student budget. The attitude I received from this employee was condescending and it made me feel ashamed about my skincare. I get you are trying to help, but I only wanted to know where I could find the brand I was looking for and continue with my day, not be lectured on what brands I shouldn’t be buying.

I had a wonderful experience at the Ulta at Tempe Marketplace last Sunday. I wonderful employee, Hayden, assisted and was beyond helpful! I had a few items on my wish list but only really went in for eye and face cream, not expecting to find the other items because sometimes it hard do that on your own. Well.... Hayden gave me one on one assistance for about an hour and walked me through everything. He really listened to my needs around the products and gave his honest feedback and recommendations. I really appreciated the time he spent with me. I am always so grateful when you can partner with a wonderfully helpful human.

I walked in only to buy shampoo and I left with an entire skin care routine haha. Tasha was so amazing and soo helpful! I'm starting to travel next month & I really needed something that was going to prepare my skin for the no makeup days. Tasha was so kind and knowledgeable! I really felt like I could trust her recommendations. She even went out of her way to put together a custom skin care routine for me, like what! I'm so excited to see the results from these products.

Went there to get a balayage to refresh my hair color. I asked for an ash brown which I was told not possible to get done in one session. I agreed with Fernanda to get the first session after I was advertised that my hair would look like a cool caramel tone. However, I ended up getting horrible orange and yellow tones after paying nearly $250. That was a day before my graduation and they refused to redo it the same day and were very rude to me and tried to convince me that I was just focusing on the brass instead of looking at how great the color looked (lol). Other then the horrible color, I told Fernanda not to bleach my roots as I was trying to get rid of the color and she bleached them anyways. When I asked her why is she is doing that mid way through the process she told me that she is just doing the below layers but she will not be touching the top layer??? I don’t know if that was a cover up for her not paying attention to my requests. I give the staff and service zero stars and would not recommend going there for a hair color at all. I’m only giving two stars because of the girl who toned my hair darker and made it look better.
