Event Venues, Attractions and Exhibitions in Los Angeles California

Los Angeles, California also known as the “City of Angels” is filled with a vast number of events, attractions, and exhibits geared for the numerous cultures that reside within the city limits. Residents of the over 468 sq. mi city don’t have to tirelessly search far for something to do either during the weekdays or weekends.

The fact is that there are always some exciting things for Los Angeles residents to see or do on a daily basis.  The great news is that the residents are not the only one’s privy to so many of these wonderful adventures. Every year people from all over the world make the trek to the city, which broke record numbers in 2016 with an estimated 47.3 million visitors, in order to have their chance to experience the wonderful places that Los Angeles has to offer. The funny thing that with even a week in L.A. a single visitor might not be able to see all that Los Angeles, California has to offer.

Turn your head and you can always find somewhere to take a memorable selfie at.  One of the most famous and garnered attractions with a slew of foot traffic is the iconic Hollywood Sign. Located in the area of the Santa Monica Mountains situated on Mount Lee in the Hollywood Hills, people attempt for a perfect picture, hoping to get as close as possible only to learn that it is illegal to get too close due to the heavily guarded area and police presence. So many visitors turn to sites like TripAdvisor and search for fun and exciting ways to view the sign close up without breaking any laws.

If spending number of hours looking at a sign is not your thing, Los Angeles has so many other options to fill your exploratory need.  A person(s) looking to burn off a few calories can venture to the city’s famous Sunset Strip, which is a mile-and-a-half stretch that passes through West Hollywood’s eastern border all the way to the Beverly Hills western border. Less than a couple of miles from Hollywood Boulevard the strip offers an opportunity to window shop, taste delicious food, listen to some local music or get in some late night dancing.

If the smell of the ocean and feeling the sun rays on your face is what’s on your vacation agenda you can always head down to either Venice Beach, the Santa Monica Pier or both.  Lay down on your towel and soak in some rays at Venice beach or get in a quick workout at Muscle beach in the south side of the Santa Monica Pier. Both offer other wonderful relaxing, fun and entertaining things to do during your visit or if you live nearby and want to get away for a couple of hours.

Less than a 30-minute drive away tourists and residents alike can head over to the Original Farmers Market where they can participate in events such as the annual Mardi Gras Celebration in February and then take a mile walk to the La Brea Tar Pit Museum for a day tour filled with real life looking exhibits and home of the world’s famous ice age fossil excavation site.  Another great place to visit and gain some exciting knowledge is the California Science Center where people can choose to visit exhibits like Body Worlds or King Tut, and head over to the IMAX theater for a 3D adventure.

Of course, what is a visit to Los Angeles, CA without a stroll over all the famous entertainers who’ve left their mark not only in our hearts but on the sidewalk on Hollywood Blvd. Millions of people who tour the country’s second largest city -by population- always mosey on over to the Hollywood Walk of Fame, to pay tribute and get some long-lasting photos. After, they can Uber about four miles north and take a fun studio tour at Warner Bros., NBC Universal or the Walt Disney Studios. If you love everything Disney like their theme parks then don’t forget to head on over to the Walt Disney Concert Hall for some live concerts, tours and shopping. Speaking of shopping, if you have some free cash to spend many residents and visitors alike enjoy the two miles stretch of high end fashion located at Rodeo Drive.
