The largest bookstore in the world. New and used books. So well curated. Books are so neatly stored in room after room, sorted by genre, with cards summarizing many of the the books. Also neat gift items. The staff are so knowledgeable and helpful! Worth a visit even if you don't buy a book.

Very Big and organized book store; good customer service. Cafe inside. They have a great selections of reads; broken down into color rooms. You can find something for anyone. Paid parking; can be a challenge to find parking depending on the time you go. I went mid week and it wasn't bad, a block over from the entry. You can purchase on site and they have souvenirs. 10/10 recommend!

So many books here, multiple floors, I spent a couple hours here and don't think I even saw everything. There are souvenirs, lots of books at discounted prices, some books are over priced though. Clean restrooms, helpful friendly staffA?A?A?A?A?A? highly recommend at least checking it out. Street parking is hard to find near by, be willing to walk a block or two.

Powell's Books in Portland, Oregon is a book lover's paradise with its multiple floors packed with an extensive selection of books. The inclusion of a cozy coffee shop adds to the charm, making it the perfect spot to get lost in a good book for hours. The staff were super nice and knowledgeable. A very kind woman in the purple room wrote a note for us to put in our basket so that our books wouldn't get put away. I wish I could have written down her name. Thank you!

Better than imagined. Independent store that sells new and used books side by side. Sales people were very helpful. This place is huge. Be prepared to browse for quite a while. There is a cafe if you need a sustenance break or are with someone who has a lot of genres to browse. I loved that you could get new books and fill in gaps in your series or find past books from authors. The prices were also great. It can be quite crowded at times which makes me feel like the world can be a good place.

Powell's City of Books on Burnside Ave has ANY book that one could possibly want and or need. When we walked in for the first time, it was very overwhelming. But their signs were so easy to follow and every genre has its own color grouping. Each sign color will then tell you what sub section is where with an easy to follow number section. The staff is also very friendly and helpful. There was a very large section

I was in awe of this bookstore!! So many different floors and rooms of books. You can find literally any book you are searching for here. The staff was super helpful with pointing me in the right direction to the book I was looking for. I loved the banned books section with the description of why it was banned. I could spend hours upon hours here!

I was blown away by this bookstore. I didnt know about before hand and I thought it was just a small store. My goodness, a whole block and 3 stories of books in the digital era. I mean they must have every book in there. Found some pretty cool books for my baby. Staff was great. Great place. Very cool place to visit when in Portland.
