We had quite a good experience at Serious pie. The restaurant filled up really quickly as we sat down which was right about the opening time. The service itself was quite good, the server spent a few minutes explaining about the restaurant, serving size, recommendations, etc. We started with a side of focaccia bread which was not very good. It was quite plain and dry and they did not offer any dipping sauce or anything. We ordered the good old margarita and the mushroom pizza which took a while to arrive. Pizzas themselves were really good. Marinara sauce gave a burst of flavour accompanied with fresh mozzarella and basil. Mushroom pizza was my favourite. It was loaded with a lot of mushrooms which were perfectly cooked. My wife likes the margerita more. One thing I did not like was that the crust was pretty big. Basically half of the pizza was the crust. They should definitely increase the topping area and decrease the thickness of the crust. Another thing that was missing was garlic bread-like offering as an appetizer.Overall it was a great experience and I would definitely visit again to try the other pizzas.

The crust was soft with decent chew and a burnt edge here and there that seems to be harder to find on a lot of these styles of pizza. The ingredients were fresh on the sausage and fennel pizza. The addition of a sage and fennel shaker was nice, but I'm having a hard time trying to figure out why it's called one of the best pizza places in the area. The sauce wasn't exceptional. If it's a simplicity thing, they've done well, but small additions like basil oil for the sauce or pizza could have brought the flavor up a lot.

I'm not kidding when I tell you that Serious Pie has one of the best pizzas in the US. I'm from PA and every time I fly to Seattle, I always stop by for pizza. One of my favorite times to go is during Happy Hour (Mon-Fri 3-5pm) because you can get a half pizza for $8. It's great because you can try 2 different ones if you like.I like simple so I got 2 half margarita pizzas and then requested pepperoni on one of them. The flavor is perfect and is consistent every time I go. I love their sauce, cheese and crust. This restaurant has mastered the art of pizza. Our sever was super friendly and our pizza came out within 10 minutes of placing the order. I can't recommend this restaurant enough!!

No Organic food so only 4-starsA very popular and busy Italian bakery and restaurant. I don't know who Thomas Douglas is, but his wood-fired oven pizza is delightful. Think how much better it could be w/ real, organic food!Lively environment with a few tv in the var to catch a sports ball game. Happy hour from 3-5 seems egregiously early, however.
