Old Town is so cool and genuine! There are eateries that have reasonable prices for the average person. The candy shops are fantastic but a bit pricey. The museums are a must! There is two hour metered street parking, as well as a few different garages (one is a flat rate, and one is an hourly rate). The sidewalks are wooden planks, and the streets are.old cobblestones, so it's a bit bumpy/difficult for someone on crutches or a scooter.

Old Sacramento is one of my favorite places to go when I want to relax. But it only works on the weekdays. The area is super busy on the weekends.I like to check out the stores. Have a wonderful lunch or dinner here. Looking at the water moving on the river and the activities. It is a place where I can find almost everything! The classical wooden sidewalks and the stone roads are so beautiful.

Man, this was a super fun family trip! We road the Amtrak from Richmond to Sacramento, I haven't been here since a child myself so I forgot how beautiful and nostalgic it was. Me and the family had a great time! Also, my youngest son is slightly autistic and he LOVES trains so this was the perfect place to be!Visited on Weekend Wait time No wait Reservation recommended Yes A?A?A?A?A?A?More

A beautiful place locked in time. We spent a few hours here between the railroad museum and the shops on the strip and ended our time with a walk on the tower bridge. Recommend coming earlier in the day if you just want to talk photos on the streets, but if u want to experience the strip come after 12. We visited this place on a rainy Saturday.

Super cute area, love visiting here every time I'm in Sacramento. Lots of shops, cafes, restaurants to choose from, and if you want to go exploring, you can take a short cruise or train ride right here. You can spend an entire day around this area and still not feel bored!Visited on Weekend Wait time No wait Reservation recommended No A?A?A?A?A?A?More

It's always fun to come here especially on the holidays. I've been here for St. Patricks Day, 4th of July but never been here for the light show on Christmas. It was fantastic. I highly recommend. They have fireworks and we can take photos with Santa while enjoying good food and great scenery all around. It's always hard to find parking inside so I park in the parking structure. $10 all day long.

Fun place to walk around if you're stopping by Sacramento. Lots of antique trains on the track if you'd like to see these large vessels for yourself. All the antique buildings and architecture give it an old rustic feeling that is quite welcoming.Visited on Weekend Wait time No wait Reservation recommended No A?A?A?A?A?A?More

The waterfront in Old Sacramento offers views of the Sacramento River, bridge, and historic shops and restaurants. You can also ride carts pulled by horses and ride the train from the California State Railroad Museum. Amtrak is only 2 blocks away.Visited on Weekend Wait time No wait A?A?A?A?A?A?More

Been here a couple times now since we moved to Sacramento. It's definitely more pleasant during the day time hours, it gets loud and a bit rowdy when the sun goes down. Handful of bars, a some cute shops. There's a great putt putt option here, lots of chances to walk around, and a fun little shooting gallery. If you ever walk by a one man band in a little truck, DO NOT go there. The man is incredibly inappropriate, three of us paid the fee, we were in there for about 10 minutes, he never once played music and we left after he continued to make wildly inappropriate comments.
