Always a great place to stop by. This is my second visit here and it's beautiful. Enjoy the food, vendors with various items from shirts, art, photos, fruit, desserts. There is always some type of performer's for donations, singers and dancers. Beach is great place to spend time as well. You can park at the pier $ per hr or pay flat rate public parking a short distance away. Recommend a visit.

The pier is too crowded and the beaches aren't as nice. There are lots of birds and they will eat all of your food when you are trying to enjoy the beach. But I like how you can drive and park on the pier which makes it very convenient.

Santa Monica Beach is amazing. So many things to do. I like walking or riding on the beach trails. Walking on the pier, relaxing on the beach, eating at the restaurants on pier and watching the live entertainment. The people are really friendly and the weekend are always busy. Downtown Santa Monica is just steps away.

Not too crowded. Kids had a blast. Very awesome street performers & artists. Got some really cool personalized art souvenirs. Eateries & food carts had delicious food. All in all a very good experience with my 10 & 6yr old.

Santa Monica Pier is definitely a destination to visit. I have been twice and the second time was better, we decided to get a beach cruiser bike and ride from Venice Beach all the way along to Santa Monica Pier. This was a perfect day and such a beautiful ride, the path is wide and plenty of room for everyone, and just a great way to see more than expected. Once arriving at the pier the atmosphere was busy and lots going on, lots to see. We decided to try a pound cake and sit on a bench seat to soak it all in. Our friends decided to go on the rides and had a great time. There was some entertaining street people doing their best to make a living, a little pushy but cool to watch. There are a few quiet places to sit and enjoy a beer and watch all the interesting people walk by. It was a warm day for winter a lot like home in Queensland Australia, but for me personally coming from Australia and living on the Gold Coast, I have seen so many nicer, cleaner beaches and this is not a destination that I would personally set high on my bucket list but still worth a visit.

This was definitely a pretty pier, but they didn't have as much "pier food" as I was expecting. They had a couple windows, but it was mostly actual restaurants. No milkshakes or fried dough or anything. Great view, great rides. Arcade is $2 a game (better than the $5 you see some places...what happened to 10 cents a game? The good old days...) Anyway, parking can be far and a bit pricey, so be prepared to walk. Like I said though, excellent views of the water even at night!

Nice place to spend evening. It's the final stop for historical route 66. Don't miss to try Street Mexican foods, so yummy and cheaper. Easy to reach by LA metro

The environment is very comfortable. Walking here will make you feel relaxed. Even though it is a famous tourist attraction, it will not feel too crowded.

Great place for a family time or a casual hang out! Beautiful views of the water and lots of things to do - from rides to curiosities to restaurants. Make sure you bring a thick wallet with you though as the fun quickly adds up!

Beautiful place to stop by.Street performers, artists and food carts. There are bathrooms on the pier and before entering the pier.We opted to rent bikes from a side street bike rental place for an hour and rode down Santa Monicas bike paths and into Venice Beach and back. It was so worth it!
