December 2021 by Scott LaineLike most markets some vendors are better than others. There is always something to grab prior to a train ride, either to eat when you get there or on the way. The baker and butcher are on point but again…look closely and shop wisely.

There are lots of vendors with beautiful displays of fresh and truly tempting items for all tastes, diets and occasions. ??? To be honest with you I was a bit overwhelmed with the variety of products on sale ... but as a true foodie loved exploring the stalls & took lots of photos; some that I'm sharing with you. ???

Everything is fresh and delicious. If you are running later to your train they have great grab n go meals as well!! I make sure every time I visit NYC from Westchester to drop in Central Market @ GCT.

Visitors can directly walk from the General Central Station to the Market through the channels connected to the main concourse. It has fresh produce, cheese, dry goods, bakery, etc. Recommend for a short visit!
