MatulisThis structure is SO incredible, the New York County Supreme Court building is absolutely iconic (and not just because it’s been featured as a filming site for Law & Order SVU). It’s worth a look when you’re in Lower Manhattan. While you’re in the area, you can walk Center Street before heading to One World Trade Center and other New York City landmarks!

December 2021 by Yaya W.I arrived at 11:30am on a Tuesday, and there was no line. Was sent to another place 10 min walk away to get the correct notary. Came back and the lady let my skip the line, so I was able to get everything done in less than 10 min. Staff was friendly.

JanowskiYes, it is made somewhat famous by being the major set piece and backdrop for the television show Law & Order but many of us who live in New York County know it as one of the court houses where we go to serve on jury duty every five years. Whether visiting on purpose as a tourist or on jury duty or other county-related business sans handcuffs you owe it to yourself to walk into the central rotunda and take a few minutes to stare up at the art adorning it. Beautiful, even if a somewhat dated painting style. Doubtful there will ever be another courthouse built quite like it. Keep in mind though, you CANNOT take photos inside the building.
