December 2021 by Andrea LeimerThis is a great place for breakfast and lunch, and this is not an unpopular opinion. Mildred's is always packed, and the line starts at the door. They do have carryout, though you might find yourself waiting with others who are waiting too if you arrive early. There were a few instances where my carryout bag was mistakenly taken, but thankfully the staff were able to remake my orders. Seating can be inside, or in the non-temperature controlled enclosed area with a fire pit on the other side of the restaurant. I love drinking my coffee by the fire during the winter months. I really recommend any of their steamed egg sandwiches, and their cranberry turkey sandwich. I also highly recommend their brioche cinnamon roll with your coffee. There are other great pastries to choose from behind the counter, but I go back to the cinnamon roll every time.

December 2021 by Through Becs SpecsMildred’s is a phenomenal spot work work remote, have a quick business sync, sip on coffee with friends, or to simply eat one of their amazing lunch/breakfast options! The breakfast burrito is a fan favorite. The space is very clean & has a modern look. Service is always friendly and quick (even if the line looks busy). Did you know you could even order a spiked coffee along with other adult brunch beverages?? Might be my favorite coffee shop in KC!

December 2021 by CI ordered the standard breakfast sandwich on Brioche and the bread was really dry. They also slightly burned it. The other parts of the sandwich were pretty good but nothing special. I also got a cappuccino and a side of breakfast potatoes which were decent. The service also wasn't great. They weren't particularly friendly. They rushed me ordering and didn't seem to want to answer any questions. I didn't hear them call my name for my coffee and had to ask several people before I was able to locate it. Overall I wasn't particularly impressed. I'd prefer Messenger, Mclain's, or French Market for a quick breakfast over this place but I might try it again.

I just would like them to include more types of Service dogs, i have to leave mine at the car and was hot outside… mine is a “ESA”… anyways was really good food and coffee

December 2021 by Michael JeffersonHappy food dance! The look and feel of this place is awesome. I loved the fire pit in the rear patio. The biscuits and gravy are top notch! They go beyond the basics and have a thick full savory flavor. The biscuits themselves are buttery, light, and flaky. The bacon that comes with the dish is also top notch. The eggs are steamed, they have a very consistent texture and are cooked excellently. The turkey cranberry sandwich was also very good. The turkey seemed to be fresh sliced and the bread hit the spot. I had a great experience here; I think you will too!
