- December 2021 by Karen MccoyIncredibly attentive staff. I was so impressed by the triage staff and nurses when I ran into the ER with my daughter. They were assuring, and worked quickly to get my daughter the attention she needed right away. Meghan (who was manning the door) was my absolute hero. The triage staff was incredible and so was the ER staff and our nurses during the stay. I am 100 percent sure we were in the best place for my child’s recovery and am incredibly thankful for this medical facility.
- December 2021 by Carlos FigueroaMy wife and I took our daughter and waited almost 4 hours just for a nurse to basically let us know that the care of our child was not important to them that she wasn’t as sick as other children are however, my daughter has been sick for almost 2 weeks. The nurses there are horrible! My faith in the medical community/profession has completely gotten worse. I feel like they don’t care about our children but are worried about the bigger paycheck. PCH has completely gone downhill!
- December 2021 by Vivian AlvarezI’ve been coming to Phoenix Children’s for years. And since it is the only hospital specialized i working on children I make the 45 minute drive here. However the quality of care here is appalling. Working in clinical health care for over 7 years I understand wait times, room situations, short staff and several possibilities of why the wait is long especially during the sickest seasons. The wait was not my issue, I came to the emergency room knowing it would be a wait, maybe not 10+ hours like I was told at the desk. However, that wasn’t the issue, was extremely disappointing was the lack of care and staff working in the emergency department. A couple of the nurses are extremely rude and have disgusting attitudes. I understand you’re dealing with high volume patients all day but hospitals are still health care facilities and emergency rooms are the last place people want to be whether it’s lack of sleep from caring for your sick child or being at the ER for 10 hours. Either way patients are here paying money to be provided quality care. While nurses and staff are being paid to be here families unfortunately are not. And the way the staff treats it’s patients is disgusting. Please train your staff to be a little bit more considerate of the fact that this is the last place families want to be with their sick child. No one likes being here I understand wait time it happens and sometimes that out of control. What isn’t is proper training on staff or nurses calling out patient who are inconsiderate and rude with nasty attitudes completely unhappy to be here and making it clear they’ve clearly chose the wrong career field. Me currently at the ER not even checked in yet but having more than enough time to write this review only because the RN at the moment is a complete nightmare and 6 parents already walked out because of how disgusting her attitude is. HANNAH, RN (blonde nurse) 11/22/2022 between 7am-8:26am
- December 2021 by Angela DiRodisIf you care for your children you will stay far away from this hospital. The quality of care has gone from excellent to substandard very rapidly. My daughter and I waited 8+ hours in the Emergency Room and they did nothing to help her despite my concerns about dehydration. Stay far, far away from this hospital. They do not care about the well-being of their patients-our children. The lack of quality care is Appalling and Disgraceful. These people should be ASHAMED!
- December 2021 by JD MillerI wish I could give it 0 stars. They're ER is atrocious. Long waits for families with sick children and apathetic staff really renders parents hopeless. There's no feeling more helpless than that of a parent with a sick/hurt child and it can always be experienced by simply sitting in the ER lobby. I'd fire everyone. This truly is the state of medicine in America. *RESPONSE* My wife and child were in your ER lobby for 8 hours while we could only guess at what was wrong with our 9 month old child. I called and pleaded with you and got nothing but attitude. My wife pleaded with you and got attitude from staff again. Then they waited 2 hours for a doctor to see our son once he was in his own room. But sure. You can try and save face in the reviews.
