December 2021 by Dave SGreat quality food and atmosphere. We loved the taste and thought that went into the recipes and preparation. One problem. We didn't even come close to being filled up. $13 for breakfast bowls and my wife who is barely over 100 pounds is still hungry? Why not at least add some more hashbrowns, which are cheap, to the base of the plate? We all know about inflation, but shrinkage and inflation, Shrinkflation? Sorry, but we will probably try a few other places before we come back around to Lydia's.

December 2021 by Darrell PolkaNew ownership brings in a full crowd, yet the wait is minimum due to numerous tables, (that were all full of happy people), quick rotation, delicious food and very enthusiastic leadership. The owners were visible constantly making sure all were satisfied. And Stacy was very understanding when we had a certain issue. We will be back frequently. amazing menu with great choices and specials. Our fave for breakfast in Rockford!

December 2021 by Keith LacroixAlthough seating is limited. It's very quaint. Service was fast and prompt. Food was very tasty. Eggs were cooked to perfection. I would highly recommend Lydia's Cafe to all my friends and family.

They have the usual breakfast menu items but also have some delicious additions such as their Tex Mex items which are a lovely change from the other games in town. My husband returns over and over for the chorizo hash and I love the breakfast tacos al pastor. Today I had an excellent breakfast burrito which was on special. The hashbrowns and bacon were crispy, the eggs fluffy, and the veggies well-sauteed. They are under new management after the old owners retired and there is certainly no change in quality. We will certainly be back!!! It is a small place so you may wait for a few minutes to sit but I promise it is worth it!

December 2021 by Magda MohamedI have been on the hunt for house made corned beef hash, and finally found it at Lydia's! It was good too! Eggs were cooked perfectly to order, the hash was crispy, well trimmed of fat, and flavorful without being overly salty. When you ask for hot sauce, they bring a while basket to choose from! My mom got an eggs Benedict that she LOVED. Normally she'd box half of it up to go, but couldn't help but finish it all at Lydia's. Friendly staff too!
