- December 2021 by Vicky Mount***Edited 1/30*** Their response to my review is they accept Humana PPO which is the SAME as Tricare Select (Tricare East).....but they are saying it is self pay. Nope! If I could give this place ZERO stars based solely on the incompetent office staff I would. My husband called Family Podiatry back in March/April 2022 for an appointment. THE first question we always ask is, "Do you take Tricare?" because that is who our insurance is through. We were told yes. Fastforward 8 months, we get a bill in the mail. I called Tricare asking them if they have a claim on file from this appointment, they do not. I called the office and they said, "Oh, we don't take Tricare." We were told on the phone at the time of booking the appointment that they do accept Tricare. When we went to the appointment we gave them our insurance information, NOTHING was said about not taking our insurance. The doctor himself was good, no issues there. However it is EXTREMELY SHADY BUSINESS PRACTICE to say you accept insurance when you don't and then put it on the customer to identify WHO it was who told you that. DO NOT MAKE AN APPOINTMENT HERE!!!!!
- December 2021 by Lindsey MeisterI would avoid this place if I were you. All the complaints about billing in the other reivews are 100% accurate. I would make my monthly payments on time, and then get the statement in the mail saying I hadn't made any payments at all. The billing department was incredibly rude and talked down to me. They made it impossible to make a payment and refused to send me a reciept to show proof of payment. Also, I had a surgery where the doctor said he would get rid of the arthritis on my two toes. Little did I know that it meant I would never be able to bend my two toes ever again. I would have never gone through that surgery if I knew I couldn't bend my toes. In a follow up appointment, I told him I couldn't bend my toes, and he brushed it off like I could, he totally gaslite me to make me think I was the problem. Do not go here. Edit: 8 months after I posted this bad review, they randomly sent me a bill... that was for a procedure that was done SEVEN YEARS AGO.
- December 2021 by Tara OrtizScheduling was quick, the Dr. was so friendly and knowledgeable. He had an excellent bedside manner and really listened to everything I had to share about my foot problems and how they related to over-all health. Highly recommend this practice.
- December 2021 by Liz YablonickyMy teen son and I both saw Dr. Kosova. The doctor diagnosed and treated my Morton's neuroma in 15 minutes. I suffered foot pain for years and Dr. Kosova restored me to full health in a day. Dr. Kosova treated a persistent mosaic wart and prepared orthotics. The doctor was very understanding about his need to continue playing basketball and lacrosse. Dr. and staff were very transparent about what would and wouldn't be covered by insurance and how much things would cost. Very happy with the treatment we received at Family Podiatry!
