Location was great!I was not expecting the smell!!! The lobby smelled like smoke from the casino but worse than any other casino. On top of the smoke they had some horrible air freshener to throw in the mix. That odor is forever etched in my brain.Rooms- we booked 2 strip view rooms. Got neither. Got instead two rooms on different floors facing away from strip. Barely any hot water, guess that's better than none, which occurred the week before we arrived. I had to ask for cleaning service after day 2 so we could have towels. But did get service immediately once asked. Apparently our rooms were upgraded. They were clean and free from odor, but far from special. Curious but not, to see non- upgraded rooms. The receptionist lied about fees. But if I read the fine print I would have known. That's more on me but she should have been honest when I asked straight out.Starbucks at times was run by 2 staff. Awful for a hotel this size. Awful for the workers too I'm sure. All in all. I may stay here again if the price was right, but being prepared for the above issues. Even with the issues, it wasn't terrible. We still had a good time.

The Flamingo hotel is a great place to stay if you're looking for a location on the strip that offers affordable rooms. You can choose between a room with a view of the strip or a view of the Sphere. The best thing about this hotel is that it is located right in the middle of the action, across from Caesars, which means it stays lively even at night. The hotel is also connected to The LINQ, where you can find plenty of food and activities to enjoy. Moreover, the monorail is easily accessible from the hotel. While the rooms may not be the newest in luxury, they offer many amenities to make you feel comfortable. One of the things I appreciate about this hotel is that they provide a fridge that you can use to store your own items instead of just a fridge stocked with alcohol for sale. Additionally, the staff is very helpful and polite. They always provided us with clean towels, tissues, and toilet paper. During my last visit, which was during the Super Bowl, I had a great experience. I would love to visit again soon and upgrade my four-star rating to a five-star one.Nearby activities: Located in the middle of the Strip. Connected to the linq retail and restaurants. Right across the street from Caesars.

Our experience at this location was terrible. We arrived at noon and got in the lengthy queue to check in. After 30 minutes waiting we were advised that there was a 60 charge to check in before 1 and 30 extra until 3pm. We got out of line and returned at 2:30. Again we waited in the long check in line. When we got to the front of the line at 2:52pm we were advised that it would still be extra to check in early. We went back to the end of the line and waited again. Finally after waiting another half hour or so to go through the queue we got to a check in agent. She asked if we were aware that we had booked a room in the non renovated part of the hotel. She offered to upgrade us to a newer room for only 35 a night. We declined. She advised if we weren't happy with the room we wouldn't be able to change it. The room smelled and there were air fresheners in two of the air vents. The walls are paper thin and you can hear anything happening in the next room. The vents were dirty. It's not well maintained. The shower was old and had old fixtures. Something had been cut off. The casino area is very smokey. Convenient location but you would be better off elsewhere. The check in agent was rude and had no customer service skills.

I enjoyed being able to check in and out digitally, the line was always long and I was grateful to never stand in it. This was our first time in Vegas and of all the casinos we visited (a lot a lot), the dealers and staff were the nicest and most personable in the Flamingo casino. The bed was great, linens and towels nicely clean. Rooms were very quiet. I could hear music outside the building, but was never bothered with slamming doors or people in the hallway. I am not sure why I selected "high roller" room, but was placed on floor 7. We did not have hot water for 2 of the 3 days and when I called, I was told they were working on it. Kind of surprised that we didn't get any contact or efforts to discount my rate or get rewards; I'm still trying to figure that out. The bathroom was a little beat up and front door area was quite worn in. The soap dispenser and faucet handles were broken. The location is great and I love that it's connected to The Promenade. On our way out the elevator lights were completely out, so we were in a pitch black elevator with 7 people; it was odd but also by that point I think everyone thought it was to be expected considering the water issues. I know things happen, but I could tell several people were very angry. The Burlesque show was great! The Mexican restaurant on site was great and it was nice to have a DJ and be able to dance.Walkability: Definitely very central and easy to get to everything you want to get to.

Booked the flamingo strip view room, zero complaints, modern facilities, although basic, but great view. Location is prime on the strip and position of hotel is perfect for those looking to be right in the action when you walk out the door. Kiosk check in was slick, less than two minutes. Good baggage storage area after check out if you have a few hours to kill. No hot water issues during our four night stay. Would def book again.

It is one of the better hotels in the old Vegas area. This location has a lot of nice amenities all while still having lower prices than other locations on Fremont Street and the strip.I have stayed here a few times, and it is a bang for your buck. This location has food vendors inside that are pretty good too.Rooms: Very decent rooms. They have upgradable options if you are looking for a more classy time.Walkability: Near Fremont Street and a lot of other areas.

The flamingo is under a very slow renovation. The rooms are partially renovated but are very clean. There are no extras in your room. No water glasses, you have to request extra towels. Every hotel I've stayed in at least gives you a bar of soap to wash your hands but not at the flamingo. It's good value for a lower end hotel, but don't expect anything extra.

Would not recommend unless you plan activities within walking distance of this hotel. Customer service was a joke and rudest experience I've ever had. We arrived and waited in line for over 45 minutes because the kiosks were down and there wasn't another self service for check in. The employee who directed the front of the check in line was not clear with directions, didn't make eye contact and made faces/comments to the fellow employee behind the desk in front of us all. Employee behind the desk was just as rude and had no professionalism, made me feel like we were a burden. The room was horrible, we were on the remodeled side. Dead smeared bug on the ceiling above bed, human hairs everywhere in the bathroom and the desk/side table tops was ring marks, sticky spots and dust everywhere. Our thermostat wouldn't get below 72 degrees. The shower had little water pressure and was freezing each morning but the last morning. The only positives- the view was perfect, the text message concierge Ivy was responsive and helpful and the location was perfect for what we had planned. Would not stay here again because of the in person staff and dirty rooms. Our friends stayed on the old side and they had cleaner rooms, working thermostat and hot water each day.
