My review is in direct comparison with a recent visit in an Steakhouse in Naples. Here, there are some thumbs up, but more thumbs down. The 1st impression is, that the place is very loud. Despite reservations we had to wait a long time (30+ mins) to get a table for 2. Service and food quality does not measure up to the prices level, including wine. This restaurant should not carry the name prime in itself, and not serve sliced mushrooms out of a can. The quality of a $78 steak should be more adequate to its price, and not being somewhat chewy. 24oz Bone-In Prime Rib / 3 star Wild Mushrooms Risotto... Rice great, but the wild Mushrooms? Hardly any. Saving cost? Madeira Mushrooms... out of a can Bottom line, without bragging, I cook everything I ordered better, and I am no Chef.

Had reservations for 2 and still waited 70 minutes before giving up and left. When we arrived, I was 5 minutes early for our reservation. So I asked how long the wait was for a walk in. She said "25-30" minutes. So I told her we have reservations, and waited. Doesn't make sense. Why take reservations? It's pointless. I understand being busy, but clearly they are trying to gobble up walk ins and reservations. Before leaving we were told we still had 4 tables ahead of us. We probably would have waited 2 hours......with a reservation. Note.....went next-door to JP Fusion. Always amazing. Waited 5 minutes to get in there. Still, no text that our table is ready at Prime239. Didn't tell them we were leaving, but was going to cancel when getting the text. 95 minutes now....ridiculous. when booking the reservation times were blocked out. I chose my time. They should then hold a table when near that time. 95 minutes later? Wasting people's time. And if you walk up right now, they will tell you a 30 minute wait when they close in 1 hour and reservations still waiting. * update-2 hours, still didn't text our table is ready. Finished meal next-door. Around 1am, 3 hours after they closed, I got a text our reservation was cancelled. When we were eating next-door, other people came in that I recognized from waiting for their reservations, angry, as well. We feel that they just accept all of the reservations and walk ins, pile them up, and if you have to wait, too bad, you might spend money at the bar. 2 drinks was $28 by the way. A friggin Gin Rickey (mostly ice) and a Hot Toddy (it was cold out).

From the moment we walked in.... Top notch service. Started with the prawn cocktail amazing, fresh, huge.. to the Caesar salad which was perfectly seasoned and not drowning in dressing.. to the 12 oz bone-in fillet which I didn't even use a knife to cut! Bravo!!!! We will be back. Setting a new standard for The Cape! Make sure to ask for Emilia, she was amazing! And I really am hard to please... Well done Prime 239

This was our first time at Prime 239. The food and service were excellent. We have been to a number of high end steakhouses and are happy to report that Cape Coral has one of the best. The service, steaks, and, sides were amazing. Our server, Matthew, was friendly, attentive and went out of his way to ensure we had a great experience. Keep up the great work! We will be back often.

We ate here once. Planning to give it another try. seating is VERY tight. You are almost on top of the table next to you. They have a dress code that is specified but that is not followed. VERY LOUD for a fine dining and price tag establishment. Food was good our first time. Main dishes that is. Sides came out cold. Did not want to waste time having to send it back. Service was good for the first time. They sat us next to the bar and people were almost sitting in our lap. Not kid friendly. We had our daughter 14 months. The tables were so tight together they could not fit the highchair in-between the table.
