I was here for 3 weeks and it was an amazing stay. The room was so much nicer than expected, really big and good facilities, hotel quality. Having two pools and plenty of space for sunbathing was great while it's such good weather. The bar and kitchen team were incredible from start to finish, it was so nice to wake up to such friendly faces everyday and they made me feel at home. The front desk team were also ready to help with anything I needed at any time. Big thanks to the customer experience manager Jack, one of the friendliest guys ever. I don't know how he's everywhere at once but he's always making sure everyone is having the best time. I was very impressed with all the activities that the hostel runs. A great mix of the must see temples and night markets, along with pool parties and pub crawls. My favourite was Road 60, an absolute spread of amazing local foods, you get to try bugs, then finished off with bumper cars that had us in hysterics. The family dinner twice a week is a must, delicious and great value for money. Having such a wide option of things to join meant that I met so many amazing people, which is great when you're a solo traveller. I'll massively miss staying here, but will gladly return in the future. Many thanks to the whole team ??

Great hostel in a great location. The vibe was really friendly. Not crazy party but just the right level. Great place to meet people. We also stayed in Onederz but preferred Monkey for the social scene and for the rooms. The private room felt like a hotel room! Bathroom was great. Air Conditioning was amazing. The beds are king size and the balcony is great to have. There's even a bath on the balcony that you can use. The staff were fantastic, we did the pub crawl with them and that was really fun. There's a gym 1 minute away that costs only $1 and is really well equipped. Would stay here again

I have been here many times before, but this place never disappoints. There is a new venue and a great new location with pools, private rooms, and dorm rooms. The staff is fantastic, they really do go out of their way to ensure that you have the best time while there. Ellie, who manages the place, is such a lovely girl, she is fun and gets involved in all activities. I would definitely recommend this Mad Monkey!

The staff here are extremely welcoming and friendly. Jack and Pisak went out of their way to help! It is a party hostel so you will hear music all day and night, but it’s worth it. I had a private room which was lovely and I met so many great travelers. The pool is an added bonus and they have activities every day to keep you involved! Awesome place with awesome people. Don’t stay if you don’t like to meet cool people ;)

We were a couple staying for 3 nights in a private twin. Huge beds, huge bathroom and lots of outlets. Pool is good and food is tasty from the bar. Loads of drinks offers so beer is pretty cheap and atmosphere is great, both from guests and from really helpful staff who try really hard to make sure there's a vibe and an atmosphere. Really good spot to organise and join in tours around the area. 10 minute walk from restaurants and cafes, including ones showing live sport (temple cafe and jungle sports bar). All round couldn't fault the location, staff or rooms. Recommend!
