- December 2021 by J LThe best experience I've ever had in a doctors office!!!
- December 2021 by Tiffany BordersDr Cleckler and his staff were fantastic from check in to check out! The ladies at the front desk were so sweet and I witnessed them go above and beyond to help another patient in the lobby. Dr Cleckler’s nurses were also very caring and thorough during my visit. Dr Cleckler himself had such a great bedside manner and was very personable which, in return, made me less anxious! He explained what I had going on and the treatment plan in a way that I could understand and follow. Would highly recommend Birmingham Podiatry, they definitely take time with their patients which can be hard to find.
- December 2021 by Rachael GeorgeI started going to Birmingham podiatry in the summer of 2021. I was originally under the supervision of Dr. Dye, and scheduled a bunion surgery in August with a surgery date in Mid-December. I did this specifically because I am a student and did not want to miss class time, and the recovery for the surgery is long. I was told at my consultation that I would be contacted the day before surgery with a time to show up. 2 weeks before my surgery, I called Birmingham podiatry to ensure that my date was still secured and that they didn’t need any more information from me. As it turns out, Dr. Dye had gone on “personal leave” and they were not sure when he would be returning. Obviously, not ideal but not impossible to get around. The office manager apologized for me not being contacted, I am not sure how many other people were affected by this but hopefully not many. She then told me I had to go through the entire consultation process again, and rescheduled me with Dr. Cleckler. I understand the importance of meeting with a professional before they operate on you, but again not ideal (and I was charged for both times, even when I was not the one who made the mistake). When I went in, I had to wait in a patient room for over 45 minutes past my appointment time (even though I was there 20 minutes early). I stepped into the hallway and asked the nurse when I would see the doctor and was told I was next on the list. When he came in, he was nice enough, but then I started to ask questions about the surgery (my plan was to talk about surgery type, pros/cons, recovery time, and supplies I would need). The first thing I asked about was what kind of surgery he would be doing. He explained the procedure to me, but when I asked him the benefits of what he was doing versus a newer version, a Lapiplasty procedure, he got upset and told me to go somewhere else. I was not trying to question his ability, I just wanted him to explain the difference so that I could be confident that I was getting the best possible operation for my situation. Frankly, I am very disappointed in St. Vincent’s and Birmingham podiatry. I meticulously planed out when and with whom I would have the surgery, but due to their failings in scheduling and proper communication with patients(and what I would consider a rude and arrogant doctor), I will now have to remain in pain until I can find another group that can do it, and that I can trust to do it properly.
- December 2021 by CindyDr. Dye was extremely professional and knowledgeable. The staff is so helpful and well experienced. I truly recommend this doctor and his staff.
